GPC Acquires Smooth Rock Falls Generating Station

GPC and Tembec Industries Inc. close deal for 7.4 MW hydroelectric generation facility.

Gemini-SRF Power Corporation (GPC-SRF) has completed the purchase of the Smooth Rock Falls hydroelectric generating station (GS) from Tembec Industries Inc. (TII). The Smooth Rock Falls GS has a capacity of 7.4MW and has been in operation since 1916 when it actually formed part of the TransCanada highway.
