Bawitik Power: Trent-Severn Waterway
Locks 24 & 25
Bawitik Power is a joint venture between Shaman Power Corporation, Orillia Power Corporation, and GPC to develop the recently released hydro development sites at Locks 24 & 25 on the Trent-Severn Waterway in Peterborough, Ontario.
At a projected 7MW, this site can be developed as either two individual, smaller facilities or as one large facility, the latter being the more efficient options and the preference of Bawitik Power.
Bawitik is currently awaiting confirmation of the winning development bid from Parks Canada before progressing to facility engineering and the approvals/permitting process.
